Devon Partnership Trust employees are very welcome to join Exeter Health Library, though it may be more convenient for you to join the libraries at Wonford House Hospital Library, or
Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, or
South Devon Healthcare Library Service.
Click here for a list of NHS libraries in Devon. We may refer you to one of the other libraries if we think they can help you more than we can.
What are you entitled to at Exeter Health Library?
You can borrow up to 6 books for up to 3 weeks, as long as no one else has asked for them. Click here for more information on books.
Interlibrary loans
If you need an item we don't have in stock, we will do our best to obtain it for you. Where this is for your everyday NHS work there is no charge. Where the item is for funded research or an educational course we may need to charge you £6.50 per item to comply with copyright law and cover costs of obtaining the item. We will also need a signed copyright form.
If the item you need is very specialised or in the area of mental health, we may refer you to Wonford House Hospital Library.
Journals
You are entitled to access the online journals that the NHS has bought nationally in England - for most of these you need an NHS Athens username and password.
For more information on the small number of online journals available directly via Exeter Health Library and Wonford House Hospital Library please contact the library concerned.
Exeter Health Library also has additional walk-in access to online journals, available during office hours only (ID and signed copyright form required to use this service).
