NEW !!!

In April 2009 the 10 year old National Library for Health (originally the National electronic Library for Health) was incorporated into NHS Evidence.

NHS Evidence launched a new specialist evidence service on 10 May 2011 to replace the specialist collections. This new service provides access to a wider choice of quality specialist evidence content. This can be accessed by using the search box on NHS Evidence.

There are new clinical and public health topic pages which include the latest guidelines, high quality patient information, ongoing trials and other selected information as well as access to NICE pathways. More topic pages will be added over time as they are developed.

Eyes on Evidence bulletins will provide a link to new, significant evidence each month. A personalised update function will be available later in the year which will allow you to specify exactly what you wish to be notified about.

See our mini guides to assist you in searching successfully - we have one on creating those important alerts and a quick guide to advanced searching. Click on each one to download the relevant guide. You will need to save them first and then open them. Don't hesitate to ask for assistance !!
