Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry does not have a single site academic medical library. PCMD Staff and students can use the following libraries:

University of Exeter
University of Plymouth
Knowledge Spa, Truro.

PCMD users can also use Exeter Health Library and the Discovery Library in Plymouth for SSU study. PCMD students can also use their local NHS library while on placement.
PCMD users have access to Emily, which is a managed learning environment. If there are problems with Emily the contact email address is emily@pms.ac.uk.

PLEASE NOTE your Emily password is DIFFERENT from your University of Exeter or University of Plymouth username or password.

To access online journals and databases PCMD still need, in most cases, to login using either a University of Exeter or University of Plymouth username and password. Journals listed on Emily are NOT directly available via Emily.

A note about NHS Athens

'Athens' is a gateway method of accessing the online journals that the NHS has paid for, either locally or nationally. At present limited access (access to the National resources only is given) NHS Athens logins are available to 1st and 2nd year medical students - contact your local NHS library for more details. From 3rd year onwards, PCMD medical students are formally entitled to a full (access to both National and Local Resources) NHS Athens login - click here for more details.

Both Exeter and Plymouth Universities have very good electronic resources, including a wide range of journals, databases and newspaper collections.
