Exeter Health Library has its own dedicated Library and Information Skills Trainer, David Newman. A qualified teacher with a background in scientific research, David has been teaching information skills to NHS colleagues since 2001.

If you would like help learning how to use bibliographic databases like CINAHL, the British Nursing Index, MEDLINE, Pubmed or Embase, contact David. He can also help you get the best out of Internet searching and email.

All courses are FREE to NHS staff at the RD&E, SWASFT, Northern Devon Healthcare, Virgin Care, Medical School undergraduate students based at the RD&E and Devon Partnership Trust.

If there is more than one member of your team or department who'd like training, Dave is happy to come out into the community. If you need one-to-one or small group training, we also have facilities at the library.
